Synopsis
Lesson Two builds on the foundation of Lesson One
by continuing with the sight and sounds of the twenty-four Greek
alphabetical characters. The
similarities and the dissimilarities between the Greek and English
letters are examined by comparing between what is known (English) and what
is new (Greek). Furthermore, aid in learning to
pronounce these Greek letters is by means of ninety-two MP3 audio links that span this
lesson. The eight page Study Guide included at the end of
Lesson Two motivates the learning of the Greek alphabet.
Study Aids
The
following study aids are designed to reinforce
the material presented in Lesson Two. An "answer key" is
provided when necessary. The different levels represent
an escalating level of difficulty. It is recommended to begin with the least difficult exercises in Level One and proceed
through Level Three to receive the maximum benefit from the exercises. All PDF links

The Greek Alphabet Flash Cards [Audio
HTML] Exercise

This delightful on-line exercise was developed by Timothy Ayres
(Australia) to aid in learning the Greek Alphabet. The

sight. The student has the options to view each letter in
their alphabetical order or skip ahead and select a particular
letter for further study. Details for each letter is
available, including both its Greek and English spellings, its
transliteration, the letter's pronunciation, and phonetic value.
The student also has the option to view an animated formation of
each Greek letter. There is no SA pagination associated
with this Audio HTML exercise. This same exercise is also
located under the Study Aids for both Lessons One and Three.
